Abstract
This article focusses on the issues at stake in writing the history of the vineyards of Cahors in the 20th and 21st centuries. Historiographical and reflexive at the same time, it examines how historical storytelling went hand in hand with the reinvention of a vineyard which various phytosanitary and climate crises had completely changed. It also indicates directions for future research in the light of past work and questions asked by contemporary actors.
