In 1939, in a context where the agro-industrial diversification was promoted, it was sanctioned the provincial law creating "Technical Schools Regional Office", intended to form qualified technicians in the most important agricultural base industries in the province. According to this we investigate on what extent the provincial government managed to install these schools and what were their characteristics. The link between the guidance and the productive profile of the zone or micro-region where be installed, the initial plan of studies, incipient infrastructure and services that counted, as well as the training of skilled human resources, are some of developed aspects. We seek to establish some background on the technical and agricultural education by the government of the province of Mendoza in the mid-twentieth century.
