Adolescence is undoubtedly an important stage in the development of life, regardless of its conception or model of theoretical understanding, it incorporates a relevant challenge that involves re-evaluating family ties and achieving uprooting from them to build a look of itself, which identifies and which gives an account of its particular way of seeing the world. This definition of identity, so characteristic and so necessary at this stage, has been obstructed by the pandemic that, responsible for confinement in many parts of the world, has prevented the free development of autonomy and independence processes that allow the construction of new relationships and help to consolidate the concept of oneself ensuring greater well-being. The purpose of this article was aimed at reflecting on the effects that prolonged confinement would have on adolescents in the context of the COVID19 pandemic
