Through a comparative analysis of the texts of the French philosopher Regis Debray on Latin America between 1964 and 1967, we sought to understand its theoretical production through two fundamental questions: firstly, to demonstrate how the approximation of Debray with the Cuban government has altered relevant aspects of its theoretical production. In addition, one investigates how this relationship elevated the French philosopher to a position of prestige in the Latin American intellectual field. Secondly, in what way Debray's theoretical production, in particular the famous essay Revolution in the Revolution?, served the Cuban government to maintain Cuba's position as a Latin American revolutionary lighthouse.
