I analyze the installation process, development, crisis and restructuring of a key economic sector for Argentina and Patagonia economy. To do this I focus on the study of social conflicts developed around fishing in the northeast of Chubut between 1983 and 1996. I observe how the workers of the sector responded to various situations, what struggles they developed, through what organizational experiences they did, and what kind of relationships they established with employers and governments.
