The interpretation work pretends to clarify the relation between certain psychic phenomena and acts/symptoms that live in the patient. It would be pursued to shake the patient from the position in which he or she has been located until this moment, a position that keeps him or her in conflict and sustaining the symptomatology. Some post-Freudian authors would try to support the particular importance of subsection four, the asymmetry in the analytical relation. This posture would seek the disagreement with the patient, motivating a change in the psychic position inhabited so far.
