Since the Cuban Revolution Started (1959), Latin America experimented a revolutionary environment. The motto that an inevitable revolution was to come, that it was necessary to carry out deep structural reforms, which should end the dominant liberal-capitalist system, was proclaimed by and within a myriad of spheres. Along these lines, the magazine Mensaje of the Compañía de Jesús played a vital role among those who called for the speedy implementation of said revolution. Its publishers had the illusion that Fidel Castro's Marxist revolutionary model could serve as an encouragement to make a Christian revolution a reality. Mensaje contributed to foster a revolutionary illusion that would not materialize and would end in a counterrevolution.
