The objective is aimed to analyze, from an intercultural perspective, higher education oriented to professional training in the Speech and Hearing Therapy career, in order to do an epistemic problematization in the detection, intervention, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment that allows a progress and professional positioning of performance areas such as: language, speech, oral and pharyngeal function (including swallowing) and hearing. This reveals the tension in the process of professional activity as an historical subject located as point of enunciation to address a diverse Other with an Other Speech Therapy. Method: Document review. Results: in performance scenarios related to: health, education, social welfare, art, management, labor, justice, e-technologies and research; the proposal for intercultural Speech and Hearing Therapy is defined as that "related to the labor carried out by a professional who, through the use of language, intervenes in comprehensive and expressive language". Based on an accompaniment that considers multiple factors of human communication such as the way it relates with a diverse Other with or without disabilities, and with people from different age groups. In two dimensions of interaction: a) social and b) cultural.
