This article presents the results of analysis of the clinical records of a child and adolescent clinic in the region of Valparaíso, Chile to investigate and find out what children and ado-lescents suffer in. the local context. This is a study framed in a descriptive quantitative re-search, by frequency of presentation of the themes In the results exists a greater proportion of men with respect to the women. As well as, that the greater frequency of demands appears in the initial education, decreasing in a constant way towards the end of schooling. The problems associated with the school that appear in clinical demands, such as "aggressiveness", "behavioral problems" and "perfor-mance" predominate within the problems encountered. The relevance of thinking about childhood as a changing construction to each age is con-cluded. Along with this, the need for a comprehensive dialogue between clinic and school.
