In the last years the concept of educational leadership has been strongly introduced in school institutions, encouraging to innovate, focalize and favor learning development. Recent research in Chile has considered this type of leadership in different educational agents such as the school principal and the Chief of the Pedagogical Technical Unit. However, we haven't found research that studies in-depth, the experience of other members of the leadership teams as pedagogical leaders within the school system. For this reason, this study addresses the characteristics of pedagogical leadership in the context of an Inclusive Education Program, as a work space for teachers that is relevant to delve in and reflect, due to its features, that are important for this aspect of leadership. We carried out a qualitative study based on individual interviews, with the purpose of identifying the characteristics of pedagogical leadership of the program coordinators that are recognized by their community as developing good PIE (Educational Integration Program) practices.
