Nowadays most part of the Mapuche population lives in Chilean cities. However scholars have barely taken attention to the migration processes to cities of this ethnic group. In this context, the present text focuses to the reconstruction of migration stories of Mapuche to Santiago de Chile, especially stories of men whose integration to the city was carried out through working in bakeries. Starting from an ethnographic perspective the text concentrates on exploring the role of ethnic origin for elaborating of integration resources. The main questions are: What kind of migration trajectories and integration were experimented by the Mapuche migrants? And what is the particular character of this Mapuche case under the current debate on migration processes?
