The present work is based on a project of research supported by the Basque Government (Department of Environment and Territorial Arrangement and the IHOBE. The fundamental aim is the development of a methodological tool for the socioeconomic and environmental valuation of the Nature Net 2000 Spaces of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (CAPV). This model, put in march in the Place of Community Importance (LIC) of Gárate-Santa Bárbara, wants to be applied to the rest of the protected areas of the Autonomous Community as tool of evaluation, arrangement and management. The present article centers on the application of a global method of biogeographic valuation and exposes the results derived from the same one.
