Sensitivity analysis was performed for the parameters involved in the modelling of a biotrickling filter for biooxidation of a mixture of DMS and H2S. The Thiele module values are extremely low and the system is sensitive to its value, showing that the system is controlled by mass transfer. An important effect was observed for the value of the inhibition constant used in the modelling. Almost no variation was predicted in the removal capacity of the biofilter for different residence times when using low Peclet numbers.
