We present the results of the inventory of different forests or bushy communities located in central Chile from near sea level (palm of El Salto-Quiteno in Valparaiso) to the subalpine belt (forest of Nothofagus obliqua in Alto Huemul) through sclerophylous woods or xerophytes scrubs of Mediterranean enviroment similar or equivalents to the Iberian grove of holm oak and alike communities. This information is essential for geographical characterization and for evaluation following methods in biogeography.
