An earthquake occurring on 21 April 2007 (Mw 6.2) in Pto. Aysén, Patagonia, Chile triggered more than 500 landslides along the Aysén fjord near the epicenter. One of the major failures occurred in the Punta Cola Valley involving a volume of 16.9 to 22.4 million cubic meters of rock. Volume estimation of the main rock slope failure, a minor failure, and their deposits was done using DEM comparison and surface reconstruction by the Sloping Local Base Level method. Besides, geomorphological analysis of the pre-and post-event topography was completed. Results show that the main rockslide was followed by a rock/debris avalanche entraining talus and glacio-fluvial deposits at the slope toe and in the valley floor. The event was followed by several minor slope failures involving soil, regolith and fresh rock. A larger fraction of the material involved in the rockslide-debris avalanche reached the shoreline and was deposited into the fjord.
