Research has shown that small businesses adopt information technology for their processes more slowly than large companies. Various theories explain how different enablers and inhibitors interact during the process of implementing new technology. One of the most proven and accepted theories is the technology acceptance model (TAM). Later on, the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) was proposed. TerraDental clinic was founded in 2007 by a car dealer who wanted to invest in a profitable business. Two years ago, the owner hired Cecilia, who had just arrived in Chile, as a dentist. One year ago, because the clinic did not do as well as planned, the owner offered it to Cecilia, who purchased it after a brief negotiation.
