Austrian revisionisim contended with classical historiography about the allegedly misunderstanding of market mechanisms by schoolmen who sought for the "just price" based on the Aristotelian conception of value. They argued that the subjective theory of value advanced by the first generation of Austrian economists was rooted in Aristotle. We claim here, although, for a biased reception of the Aristotelian conception of value among Austrian revisionists, and we suggest some clues in order to recover the genuine dimension of the Aristotelian conception of economic value.
