The present research pretends to discuss about the way violence and armed fight as a constitutive part of political identity instituted by the MIR's activist, being a fundamental part from the "ethos mirista", with different shades in different historical moments since their organization. In this sense, the temporal frame established for this research, involved us in two important knots "era-generation" which mark significantly the conformation of political identity on activists and where the character of violence acquires different shades, encouraging, each one of them to the conformation of a whole political unity, establishing an interesting dialogue inter-generational, instead of breaks and ruptures, relationship and continuity.
