Ensure that Data Warehouse providing support to the development of organizational strategy is key to its success, but from experiences reviewed, we observed a large number of Data Warehouses that were classified as failure, among other reasons, because the objectives obtained in the analysis stage of requirements are not aligned with business strategy. As a solution, we propose an approach based on objectives for Data Warehouses, complementing the work done by the Lucentia research group. As initial results provide the guidelines of the objectives model that will enable developers to systematically identify the requirements of the Data Warehouse, ensuring alignment with business strategy through a set of rules. © 2010 by CIbSE 2010.
