This text focuses in development, work and proposals of the movement for the seed rescue and food sovereignty developed in the South of Chile, particularly in the seed curators’ network formed by peasant women. This network represents a case of resistance and counter-proposal to the hegemony of the agroexporting food regime. The document is based on a series of 15 interviews with curators as well as 8 seeds interviews with female leaders, through which the meaning of the seed’s defense and the peasant agriculture as a political practice are discussed. The article also argues how these daily and private life practices represent a resistance exercise in face of the process suffered by the peasant economy, defying the modernist ontology linear formulations of the land question.
