In recent decades, has emerged at Western societies that still face violence situations, the debate on political effects involving remembering/forgetting the past. Thus, starting in the 90's, the politics of memory has become a field of study for social sciences. The article aimed to sustain through a theoretical work, that the politics of memory do not arises only from strategic actions emanating from political-institutional areas, but also of spontaneous actions emerging of daily routine. This is supported by the fact that the constant reminder of a past conflict generates positions of hegemony and resistance in relation to what is remembered, as well as the role of those memories today.
