This paper aims at describing the most relevant aspects of the current Chilean criminal policy from a human rights perspective. Today, the political decisions of the last time in the criminal justice field are seriously questioned. The major criticisms and objections are based on the commitments made by the State to the rights enshrined in the International Law of Human Rights. The rights of detainees and selective antiterrorism legislation currently constitute the main cases of violation.
