This paper presents a new version of Davies- Bouldin index for clustering validation through the use of Hyper Rectangles for measuring the clusters dispersion. This new technique allows capturing the multidimensional reality of the data overcoming the limitations of the traditional measures. The new version of the index is evaluated with real datasets, showing the effectiveness of the proposal.
