Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, affects between 1 and 3% of the adult population. For a 23 year old woman with a history of asthma, allergic rhinitis and severe atopic dermatitis occurs (DAS), with poor previous response to multiple systemic therapies consulted for exacerbation of dermatitis and papular lesions progressive compatible with molluscs contagious. He featured a hypereosinophilia and IgE levels> 20,000. The severity of the disease and the state of immunosuppression associated with extensive viral infection, start intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is decided, with good response from the skin condition. The standard therapy for AD focus on symptomatic relief and clinical efficacy is often insufficient. IVIG is an effective treatment in some autoinflammatory dermatological conditions; are limited in the treatment of DAS, especially in children reports. Other treatments used for these cases are interferongamma and omalizumab; However, current evidence is insufficient and further studies are required to demonstrate their effectiveness in managing the DAS.
