Limítrofe, the Sun Shepherdess by Cayo Bosco is a Chilean playwright of today with an Aymara theme, representing thus one of the three cultural facets of North Grand: that of the Andean foothills. The play shows how the Chilean state is intent on implementing homogenising strategies in a geographically diverse and culturally plural space. The result is the most complete failure. The Aymara Indian thus explores extreme forms of communication which, based on a culture of the spectacle, assume self-mutilation as the only way to be heard. To do this, the work incorporates references linked to reality with today's theatrical resources: predominance of narrative over dialogism; coexistence of discursive multiplicity of voices; reappropriation of various functional codes; and privileging of the visual.
