The present work aims at studying the predicament of the diverse types of migrations and movements of people who developed in the high roman empire (31 b.C - 235 a.C), the motives that drove these migratory flows and trying to present a typology of twelve forms of the migratory phenomenon within the roman empire territory. I argue, indeed, in great relevance, that the History of the ancient Rome can provide some illustrations and comparative study cases for a major and better understanding of the present.
