Today there are several methods to acquire a software product among which it is possible to refer: the purchase of a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product, custom software development, components acquisition, among others. Despite of the chosen method, it is important to take into account activities and tasks that support the acquisition process and that guide the purchaser to acquire a product that meets the required quality criteria. In this scenario, this paper describes the development of a web tool that allows users to gather, share and complement the present knowledge about software acquisition. Furthermore, this web tool helps users to synthesize this knowledge on a digital catalogue that supports the purchaser in the acquisition process, from early stages to implantation and acquired product start-up.
