The article reveals the early gestation of the missionary work of Chilean Pentecostalism. It addresses the ship-ment of Elías López in 1930 as the first missionary to Mendoza, Argentina. One of the efforts was to locate written sources that constitute the corpus of the present investigation; such as the Fuego de Pentecostés, Chile Pentecos-tal, El Mensajero Pentecostal and El Sendero de la Luz magazines, published between the 30s and 60s. The articu-lation of the first religious communities in Mendoza and its later extension to several points of Argen-tina is ana-lyzed, this demanded an interdisciplinary methodological approach from the anthropological, and historical point of view. Likewise, the main collective, related and permutative actions with Chilean Pentecostalism that will forge the cultural and religious profile of the followers of the Pentecostal movement in Mendoza were investigated.
