The National Road Safety Commission of Chile has achieved valuable progress related to road safety during these last years. The high number of deaths and seriously injured (particularly vulnerable users) as a result of a road accidents, as well as the need to establish new regulations and ways for sharing common spaces between all transportation modes, have made the challenges in traffic become more complex and multifaceted. Because of this, the latest advances are not only in the regulation area, but also in the area of engaging and assembling collaboration and cooperation from all relevant road safety players in Chile to be able to save lives.
