In a study of a group of 125 pregnant women followed until 2 months postpartum, 22.4% were found to suffer puerperal depression. A multiple logistic regression analysis was carried out, with the final equation including one isolated variable (dissatisfaction with the couple's relationship) and two pairs of interactive variables (little social support combined with a low socioeconomic level, and a teenaged mother who suffered depression during gestation). The model constructed has a good efficiency level overall (84.0%), emphasizing specificity (94.9%) over sensitivity (46.4%)
