According Dodd and Stolberg, Evidence Based Radiology (EBR) fits into a humanistic approach to the practice of Radiology. This is a multiple step process, which includes: conversion of information needs into answerable questions, identification of the best available evidence, critical appraisal of the evidence and clinical expertise to integrate clinical circumstances with available research evidence and patients values and preferences. Main concepts of this article are starting to change the conventional practice. EBR can be implemented in rapidly progressing areas of radiology practice. Clinicians ask radiologists which test to do rather than telling us to "do the test"
