One of the most perplexing and compelling issues in the study of moral decisionmaking is the differentiation, and the relationship, between what is commonly referred to as moral thinking and moral action. The way in which we respond when asked to comment on and/or judge moral dilemmas or transgressions can be very different from the way that we act in ambiguous social situations with moral implications.
