Two new populations of Avellanita bustillosii Phil., an endemic endangered (EN) shrub of Chile central, is documented near Putaendo, Valparaiso. This new record constitutes the fifth and sixth population of the species, which extends the northern boundary of distribution and a establishes a new altitudinal boundary.
