The following review will examine how the absence of gender perspective in health education has effects on female patients and medical students, and on LGBT+ patients and medical students. In conclusion, there have been improvements, both in the attention of patients as well as in medical education, but the efforts on the subject must continue, especially in initial training of medical professionals.
