The city's ground level, especially the paved sidewalks and streets covered with inscriptions, signs and reliefs reveal in their design the traits of urban identity that distinguish each city from the others, a street in a plaza, a neighborhood or a pedestrail walkway. El Panot resolves this task of identifying each urban individuality. It is a modular pavement of 20 by 20 cm that is 4 cm thick. El panot, in its design and geometry, records the history of routes and paths, showing with its shape the sectors and neighborhoods that reaffirm their particular urban identity.
