In this second part we analyze the ideas of the intellectuals of the 1960's that opposed Francisco A. Encina either because they preferred his rivals Luis Emilio Recabarren (Jorge Teillier, Volodia Teitelboim, Julio Cesar Jobet, Hernan Ramirez Necochea) or because they substituted nationalism for popular internationalism and Latin American integration (Felipe Herrera); or because they opposed the bourgeois modernity sustained by Encina from a catholic standpoint (Jaime Eyzaguirre); or the popular identity (Mario Gongora), or, finally, they disagreed, as did Ricardo Donoso, on the grounds of historical methodology. The diversity of the opposition to the ideological framework created by Francisco A. Encina is the confirmation of its presence among intellectuals throughout the 20th century.
