Abstract
Today, Valparaiso's boundaries turn inward and merge with its topography, becoming the borders of interior peripheries, areas of urban emptiness within the city. Yet,they are no longer the peripheries of the displaced and needy, but of those who come to stay and reside in what's left behind,the difficult living of urgency born out of necessity, and of necessity born out of urgency.
