Pfander's analysis of Gesinnungen represents first chapter of what would be called a "phenomenology of emotive conscience" or a "critique of affective reason". This early - unfortunately little known - phenomenologist offers a detailed analysis of special kind of experiences and tries also to show their moral significance. This paper points out the main elements of Pfander's contribution to a recovery of emotions moral relevance.
