Clara Malt, later Schumann, German, Teresa Carreno, Venezuelan, Rosita Renard, Chilean, have all of them distinguished as some of the most outstanding pianists along a little more than a century, from before the mid 19(th) century to the mid 20(th) century. There are parallelisms and contrasts in their limy and careers. But their lives as well as their musical development were strongly affected by facts linked to their condition as women. We have tried to establish these parallels, higlighting particularities and difficulties arising from their condition of women.
