| The authors thank the anonymous referee for important comments, which improved this paper, and to Catia Cardoso for fruitful discussion on binary dynamics. Support in the preparation of this publication was provided by the ESA Science Faculty. This publication makes use of data products from the Two Micron All Sky Survey, which is a joint project of the University of Massachusetts and the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center/California Institute of Technology, funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the National Science Foundation. This work has made use of the Vizier Service provided by the Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg, France (Ochsenbein et al. 2000). Image Reduction and Analysis Facility (IRAF) is distributed by the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO), which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy Inc.
